The Adventure Company recently announced that its new adventure title Jack the Ripper has shipped. Here is their description of the game:
The legendary killer from the dark days of London in the 19th century has seemingly resurfaced, and this time he's more daring than ever...While writing a series of articles about some callous murders in the Low Side District of New York, young reporter Jimmy Palmer begins correspondence with a mysterious dark character. Ultimately, this character will lead Palmer to the evil murderer himself.
Jimmy becomes the central focus of the story as he becomes obsessed with this dangerous relationship that compels him to seek this evil killer. Palmer examines crime scenes, interviews potential suspects and pulls clues together as he gradually tracks down Jack the Ripper himself.
The game's storyline is particularly strong, as is its haunting soundtrack. Adventure fans will have to be at their best to solve a number of excellently crafted puzzles, and really pay attention to solve this mystery.
The game is based on true historical events and features a 360° view, real-time 3D characters, and ambient background effects. Inventory-based game-play and a well-structured plot make this appealing to fans of all game genres.
The game uses an enhanced VirtoolsŪ engine allowing for rich detailed graphics, and special effects, with a user-friendly point-and-click interface.
