The on-line version of Uru: Ages Beyond Myst has been cancelled. The official site blamed a lack of subscribers (even for free) needed to justify further support. (Perhaps that was to be expected, considering that the much-hyped on-line component wasn't even available to most people who bought the game at first.)

However, Cyan Worlds has announced that they will be releasing one free expansion pack within the "next month or two", and additional expansions are planned. A Mac version of the game has now officially been announced as well.
