I can't find hints for a particular game. Where are they? The UHS's primary focus is on games with puzzles to be solved – adventure games, "action/adventure" games, and role-playing games. We focus on these types of games because we've found that they're best suited to the subtle hint format of the UHS. While we do sometimes offer hints for other kinds of games, those hints are not our focus. It also usually takes a minimum of several weeks from the time a game is released to stores before we will have hints ready for it. This is because we usually buy the games off store shelves just like you do, and we must then play and solve the game ourselves. It's not enough for us to solve the game once – we also need to spend time testing out alternate ways of doing things, so that our hints will be applicable in as many situations as possible. This process does take a while, but we think the resulting quality of hints is worth the time. Games are sometimes released under different names, and titles can vary from country to country. We list "shortcuts" for all of the alternate titles we're aware of, via the "Download New Hints" and "Open My Hints" window. This option is turned on by default but can be disabled or re-enabled via Display tab of the Options | Set Options menu choice. Please try re-enabling it if it's turned off and you can't find a particular set of hints. You may also sometimes want to try looking under a game's full title instead of its subtitle or vice versa (for example "Morrowind" and "The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind") just in case there's a title we missed. If you still can't find hints for a game, feel free to e-mail support@uhs-hints.com and suggest a game to us. We cannot give you specific answers to specific puzzles, but we do listen to all of the suggestions we get and will assign new hints based on these suggestions.
