How do I beat the old man in the drinking contest?
  • 1 of 8: Poor Guybrush can't handle alcohol.  In fact, he's not even old enough to buy any.
  • 2 of 8: But he can drink near grog.
  • 3 of 8: There used to be some in the bar on Scabb Island, but the bartender sold it all.
  • 4 of 8: To Captain Kate.
  • 5 of 8: Once you get the near grog, you should be in a position to win the drinking contest.
  • 6 of 8: While the old man is waiting for you, you can make a switch.
  • 7 of 8: First, empty out the mug that the man gave you.
  • 8 of 8: Pour it into the plant, and then you can put the near grog in the mug.  Once the drinking contest starts you should win.
