UHS Reader Changes (versions 6.00 and higher)

With version 6.00, the UHS Reader can now copy hints to be viewed on a Palm OS handheld.

Version 6.10:
* Windows Vista compatiblity has been improved.  Several cosmetic problems from previous versions have now been fixed, and settings are now saved to individual user folders.  (Note: if you are upgrading from a previous version, new hint files will continue to be downloaded to their prior location, unless you change the setting under the Downloading section of the Options menu, or else uninstall and then reinstall the UHS Reader.  Version 6 of the UHS Reader has always run correctly under Vista, and you will not need to change your download location to continue using the UHS Reader.)
* An error causing the UHS Reader to start up off-screen if the desktop was resized has been fixed.
* An error causing the status of recently downloaded hint files to be reset when repeatedly updating the list of new hint files has been fixed.

Version 6.01:
* Prices have been lowered and now reflect our 1-year update policy.
* An error that sometimes appeared if registration codes were entered in lowercase has been fixed.
* An error causing accented characters inside links to be displayed incorrectly on Palm OS handhelds has been fixed.

Version 6.00:
* Alternate game titles are now listed as "shortcuts" on the "Download New Hints" and "Open My Hints" windows for easier reference.
* Hints for related games and expansions are now linked together.  You will see a "Related Hints" section at the bottom of the first page of each hint file.  For example, hints for the To D'ni and Path of the Shell expansions are now listed at the bottom of Uru: Ages Beyond Myst, and vice-versa.  (Expansion pack hints still usually require a separate download, but any required download will be started when you click on those hints.)
* We've added an "Ask About These Hints" option to the "Help" menu so that you can send a message directly to the author of the hints about whatever topic you're currently reading, even if their email address has changed since the hints were released.
* In the download and open hints windows, game titles beginning with "The" are now re-written with the "The" at the end -- for example, "The Longest Journey" is now listed as "Longest Journey, The".  Previous versions alphabetized the hints with the "The" removed but still displayed the "The" first.
* The "None" button next to "Show Hints to Download" was removed.  The "Show New" and "Show All" buttons now act as toggles -- clicking on whichever selection is active will hide all hints that require a download from the listing.
* Information about new hints available for download is now sent in valid XML format.  This may improve compatibility with some proxy servers (such as web accelerators and wireless phone connections) that may not have been able to handle the slightly non-standard format used in previous versions.

Our on-line hints load much more quickly if you have scripting enabled in your web browser. Please see our help page for more information.

There are no more hints.
