The 11th Hour Hints
Strategies
1 of 6: First, since the initial board configuration appears somewhat randomized, your chances of winning are also somewhat random. If you start out badly after the first few turns, you may just want to reset the puzzle and hope your luck will be better the next time around.
2 of 6: Obviously, you should try to plan ahead and prepare paths for your mouse to reach its home.
3 of 6: And keeping several options open is also a good idea.
4 of 6: All you need is a path for the mouse to be able to get from its current position to your home. So you may want to try getting the mouse close to the goal first and then block off the paths away from the goal. You can concentrate on getting it to the goal itself in later turns.
5 of 6: Also, don't forget to keep Stauf from getting the mouse to his goal. I found that one good way to accomplish this task was to make exactly the opposite move that Stauf would want to. In other words, if he wants to move a row in one direction, you should move it in the opposite direction. Since Stauf cannot just undo your previous move, this delays his ability to reach his goal by a while.
6 of 6: Finally, if all else fails, you can get your ally to solve this puzzle for you. As far as I could tell, this was probably the hardest (or at least most painful) of the "puzzles" in the game.
