AGON Hints
How do I decipher the stone?
of 14: There are a lot of books around. Maybe one of them has some relevant information.
of 14: You want the book on languages and scripts. This is in Prof. Hunt's office, on the second shelf from the bottom in the rightmost bookcase.
of 14: If you browse through the book, you should eventually find a script that matches the symbols on the stone.
of 14: The stone is written in Hungarian runes.
of 14: Be sure to read the book's information on these runes thoroughly.
of 14: The numbering system is similar to Roman numerals, but with the runes for each place value written in increasing instead of decreasing order.
of 14: Using the translation table, the runes read: E (1+1+1+5+10+10) N (1+1+1+5+10+50) OINIAV
of 14: Remember that Hungarian runes are written in boustrophedon style.
of 14: So you need to reverse the second line.
of 14: In the screen you get from clicking on the stone, enter: E28 N68 VAINIO
of 14: Once you enter this correctly, Prof. Hunt will provide some commentary.
of 14: Follow his suggestion and look at the large map on the wall of his office.
of 14: You need to zoom in on the coordinates given by the stone.
of 14: On each step, move the mouse until the ranges given match 28 degrees east longitude and 68 degrees north latitude.
