AGON Hints
How do I decode the telegraph message?
of 8: The telegraph machine is located on the table behind the desk. Zoom in on the tape while you're standing next to the window.
of 8: The tape is much longer than one screen can hold, so you'll need to scroll the tape by dragging it.
of 8: The dots and dashes are a recording of a message in Morse code.
of 8: No, you don't need to do a web search. The information you need is in a nearby book.
of 8: The book you need is on the bookshelf above the bed.
of 8: You need to separate words in the message using the "next" key.
of 8: The separation between two consecutive dashes is wide enough that it can look like a word break. Luckily, there should be enough context otherwise to determine when you've made a mistake. The next hint gives the exact decoded message.
of 8: The message reads: "To 76: Professor Samuel Hunt from England is expected to arrive on Wednesday. Please prepare a sleigh for him. --Pekka" (but do not enter the punctuation). When you get it correct, Prof. Hunt will comment on the message. (The envelope on the desk identifies this station as number 76.)
