The Secrets of Alamut Hints
How does the large tile floor work?
1 of 8: You may have read a book in Procles Library about this puzzle.
2 of 8: Once you click on it, there seems no way to exit the screen. Obviously something you already have will work on it.
3 of 8: The object is to lift a tile.
4 of 8: Click your dagger anywhere on the tiles. Your dagger grows in size to match the proportions of the tiles.
5 of 8: The tile to be lifted is the third one down on the left side. (This tile was marked with a North and a West symbol on the clue from the book.)
6 of 8: Click the dagger's point on the bottom edge of that tile. If done correctly, the dagger will slide under the edge.
7 of 8: Maneuvering this now can be a bit tricky with the "drag" icon. Push the dagger up underneath the tile. Then drag it from left to right and back left again slowly and evenly. (This may be the meaning of "the east of the west" -- drag the knife from east (left) to the west (right) to break it loose.)
