I'm being attacked by lots of pirates!
1 of 5: Some of the combat out here is pretty much unavoidable.
2 of 5: In fact, I found this opening sequence one of the toughest parts of the game. Expect to do lots of saving and restoring if you're not already familiar with this interface from the original AITD.
3 of 5: You will eventually find more weapons and ammunition after a little while, but try to conserve your ammunition, since it may run out faster than you want it to.
4 of 5: Also, avoid battles that seem to be triggered by visiting a certain location until you're well-armed -- at least if you can help it.
5 of 5: For example, walking to the front door of the house is a bad idea. All you will accomplish is getting shot.
