How can I get out of the captain's room?

  • 1 of 12: You may not realize this, but there's a guard out in the hallway.  Since Grace can't open doors herself, you'll need to get the guard to come in.
  • 2 of 12: Create a distraction.
  • 3 of 12: Like a loud noise.
  • 4 of 12: Throw the crystal vase and the guard will come in.  But you probably aren't ready to do that yet -- have something ready to stop the guard.
  • 5 of 12: The small cannon in the chest might do it.
  • 6 of 12: Drop it near the door to have it ready when the guard comes in.
  • 7 of 12: The parrot might have told you what to load into the cannon.
  • 8 of 12: Use the pepperpot (from near the parrot) on the cannon.
  • 9 of 12: Now you're ready to call in the guard.  Throw the vase.
  • 10 of 12: And light the cannon.
  • 11 of 12: Use the tinderbox (from the top deck) on the cannon, and you can walk out.
  • 12 of 12: But don't forget to pick up the captain's staff!
