I'm on the edge of a giant pit. Can I get across?
1 of 5: Yes, you can. I don't know why this works, but you can cross safely if you do it in the right place.
2 of 5: Start by walking over the pit just to the left center (from Carnby's perspective). A stone slab should appear underneath your path.
3 of 5: The idea here is just to keep walking, and if you take the proper steps, then the slab will follow you. Spoilers follow.
4 of 5: Take a step forward (Carnby's perspective) first. Then go to the left, take two steps forward, and a step right.
5 of 5: Now take a step forward, step right, and repeat until you reach the end of the pit.
