Alone in the Dark 4: The New Nightmare Hints
What should I do with the prism that Lucy gave me?
of 13: First, if you don't have that prism, you should get it after you've gotten inside Obed's office and done the right thing there.
of 13: You technically don't have to use the prism, but it's the only way to figure out how to solve another puzzle without resorting to hints on that one.
of 13: Have you seen anything that might be missing a prism?
of 13: You're looking for an incomplete object that might shine light.
of 13: Or project light, if you want to put it that way.
of 13: There was a projector in Alan's office, on the second floor.
of 13: Put the prism in there.
of 13: But you still need a light source.
of 13: Fortunately, you've been carrying one for quite a while.
of 13: Go into your inventory and *use* the flashlight on the projector. It's not enough just to shine the flashlight on the projector while you're walking around -- you must actually use it.
of 13: When you complete the projector with the prism and the flashlight, you'll see a short movie and get an item.
of 13: You'll get a "Library 3D Map".
of 13: That probably means it's time to head to the library, now accessible through the double-doors on north side of the first floor.
