Alone in the Dark 4: The New Nightmare Hints
How do I get out of the crypt?
of 16: Take a close look at all of the doors in the central room of the crypt.
of 16: You can go through the one of the doors -- the one with Jeremy Morton's name on it.
of 16: Open it and take all of the items on the other side.
of 16: Look for a small metallic object on top of the casket.
of 16: When you pick it up, you'll also see an inscription, which says, "Only a symbol of light will open the tomb."
of 16: Have you seen anywhere to make that symbol?
of 16: There are a bunch of gems on one wall of the central room of the crypt.
of 16: Notice what happens when you move your flashlight over the gems.
of 16: Instead of just sparkling with the usual purple to indicate a hot spot, they sometimes might stay glowing.
of 16: Try to draw a pattern with the gems.
of 16: If you shine your light on the right gem, it will stay green, but if you light any other gem, it will reset all of the others in the puzzle.
of 16: That means you have to be careful where you shine your flashlight.
of 16: It might even help to narrow the beam.
of 16: Use the metal cover from Jeremy's tomb on the flashlight, and you'll now have a much narrower beam. It also helps to aim the flashlight manually, either using your mouse if you're on a PC or using analog controls if you're on a PlayStation.
