Alone in the Dark 4: The New Nightmare Hints
How do I get inside the manor?
1 of 7: First, don't worry about the gate with the four-symbol lock just quite yet. It might look tempting, but you're not quite ready for that.
2 of 7: Instead, head down to the opposite end of the path and keep walking.
3 of 7: There's a locked gate at the far end of the path.
4 of 7: Now, head from screen to screen until you reach the Water Tank screen. If you get lost, you can bring up the map to show you the path to the next area -- there's really not much to do before the Water Tank besides shooting (or running from) creatures and opening a couple of unlocked gates.
5 of 7: Find the well/water tank on the Water Tank screen. Maybe there's a way in through there.
6 of 7: You can drain the well.
7 of 7: There's a valve in a corner at the top of the well. Turn it, and go down the stairs to the bottom of the well. You'll now be in the manor's basement.
