How do I open the locked box in the Inner Courtyard?

  • 1 of 7: The box is chained shut.
  • 2 of 7: You're not going to find a key.
  • 3 of 7: So you're going to have to cut that chain.
  • 4 of 7: If you don't have the right tool yet, start by looking inside the main building.  These hints will tell you how to get inside there if you haven't found the entrance already.
  • 5 of 7: Once you're in the main part of the fort, go downstairs into the oubliette (basement).
  • 6 of 7: Some wire cutters are on a table in the northwest section of the room, near the broken perforator.
  • 7 of 7: Use those on the chest to cut the chain.
