Alone in the Dark 4: The New Nightmare Hints
How do I get into the small hut near the entrance to the fortress?
1 of 4: Notice that there's a ladder on one side of the hut.
2 of 4: Climb up that ladder and find a second ladder on the roof.
3 of 4: For some reason, I had an *extremely* hard time climbing down that ladder. You think you'd just be able to face the ladder to use it, but for some reason, I had to be standing in a very strange location.
4 of 4: I found that I had to face the ladder and turn 90 degrees, so that the ladder was to my right. I then walked forward so that my right foot was on the corner of the opening, now with the ladder behind me and to my right. Then, pressing the SPACE bar (on the PC) to "use" the ladder worked. I have no idea if this is common to all versions of the game or if it's repeatable even on the PC, but that's how I had to do things.
