Alone in the Dark 4: The New Nightmare Hints
Aline told me I should look for a trap door. Where is it?
1 of 7: She suggested that you listen for a hollow sound in the floor.
2 of 7: You won't find it in the section of the attic where Aline first tells you about the trap door -- get through the first locked door before you start looking.
3 of 7: I wouldn't really describe the spot in the floor as a trap door. It's more like a few loose boards.
4 of 7: You'll sometimes hear slightly different footstep sounds depending on whether you're walking on carpet or solid wood, but that's not the different sound you're listening for -- the "trap door" will make a much more distinctive sound.
5 of 7: From the first locked door, go through one dark room, into a lit hallway, and into the room on the other side of that.
6 of 7: Head to the north of that room. You'll go through a narrow passage (but not through any doors) into another, darker room.
