Alone in the Dark 4: The New Nightmare Hints
Whom do the portraits represent?
of 12: Well, one answer is just to use trial and error -- once you've entered the correct date into a portrait, it will "stick" (you can't change it), but you can try again if you guessed the wrong one.
of 12: You may also recognize one or two of the pictures.
of 12: Did you find the Morton family biography?
of 12: It's the book on the lectern in the center of the library.
of 12: The easiest picture to figure out is the one of Jeremy. That same picture is in the biography.
of 12: He's third from the left.
of 12: If you look at the picture on the right, you'll be told it looks a lot like the person in the bust downstairs.
of 12: The bust with the "HM" code.
of 12: So the picture on the right is of Howard Morton.
of 12: A similar picture of Richard is in the book and on the wall.
of 12: It's on the far left.
of 12: Process of elimination gives Archibald for the second-from-left portrait. (You also could find out from the biography that Archibald went to the arctic like his father.)
