Anachronox Hints

Collect some moss.

  • 1 of 16: You'll find this section at the end of the Lower Routubes -- instead of turning right at a fork to enter the Red Light District, turn left to enter this area.
  • 2 of 16: Go to the end of the Underworks, until you find the MugMugs.  One of them wants a lot of moss.
  • 3 of 16: You'll find the moss scattered around various worlds that you'll visit.  Keep bringing it back to the moss-loving MugMug for more and more rewards.  I'll list the specific locations of the moss and the rewards in the hints that follow.  I'm not entirely sure if the rewards are based on a particular moss or on how many total moss you've found, so the order in which you get your rewards may vary.
  • 4 of 16: 1) Sunder Moss.
  • 5 of 16: It's located in a pickable chest in the lobby of the Rainbow Sanctuary, across from the front desk.  It's worth a Circlet of Safety.
  • 6 of 16: 2) Hive Moss.
  • 7 of 16: It's on the Verilent Hive ship, in the tunnel just past the entrance to the queen's hive (not the tunnel that leads directly back to the rooms with the color shards, but the other one).  The MugMug will give you a Resonance Crystal for it.
  • 8 of 16: 3) Monk Moss.
  • 9 of 16: It's in the Piping Ducts on Hephaestus, somewhere in the lower-left quadrant of the maze as you're looking at the maps.  It's worth a FireStorm MysTech.
  • 10 of 16: 4) Hero Moss.
  • 11 of 16: It's on the Villain Ship, in the cargo room at 1S-b.  It's worth a MugMug Sluggicell.
  • 12 of 16: 5) Waugee Moss.
  • 13 of 16: This one is just before you reach the map leading to the Great Tree in the Waugees Forest.  You can get a Two-One Host for it.
  • 14 of 16: 6) Wild Moss.
  • 15 of 16: Look on Limbus.
  • 16 of 16: It's fairly close to the ship where you first land.  Walk around the ship to find it, and then return it for a Verdun War Medallion.
