Ankh Hints

Combine flames and gongs.

  • 1 of 20: This is a subtask to the "Summon Osiris" task.
  • 2 of 20: Use both of the joss sticks to bring up both puzzle sections. Note that they're at opposite ends of the main floor.
  • 3 of 20: Try walking over to one of the puzzles.
  • 4 of 20: If they duck back into hiding, then you stepped on a wrong tile.
  • 5 of 20: Go to both puzzles and examine them carefully.
  • 6 of 20: The clue to working them is on the center mural (third from the left).
  • 7 of 20: It shows a correspondence between three geometric shapes and three colors.
  • 8 of 20: For instance, looking at the top third of the mural, you'll see that the triangle symbol goes with the yellow flame symbol.
  • 9 of 20: So how can you use the two puzzle gizmos to show that you understand this?
  • 10 of 20: One puzzle has three gongs, each of which matches a shape on the mural.
  • 11 of 20: There's also a clapper on the floor near the gongs, so pick it up and try striking the gongs.
  • 12 of 20: Remember that you need to show the puzzle that you know which color goes with which gong.
  • 13 of 20: So before striking the triangular gong, you need to use the other puzzle area to create yellow flames.
  • 14 of 20: It contains a flame and three bowls, two of which have colored powder in them.
  • 15 of 20: Use the two powder bowls to get some yellow powder and some green powder.
  • 16 of 20: Since yellow is associated with the triangle on the mural's top row, start by using the yellow powder on the flame and then going over and hitting the triangular gong with the clapper.
  • 17 of 20: That did something, so continue on to the next part of the mural.
  • 18 of 20: It shows that the circle is associated with the green flame, so put some green powder in the fire and then use the clapper on the circular gong.
  • 19 of 20: And now you're in trouble, because the mural clearly shows a red fire associated with the square gong, but the red powder bowl is empty!
  • 20 of 20: Use the curry powder with the flame, then go hit the square gong with the clapper. Done!
