Find a way out, but not through the door!

  • 1 of 13: You start the game with this task on your to-do list.
  • 2 of 13: Before you gain control, Assil hears someone break an upstairs window.
  • 3 of 13: So go up the stairs and look around for the broken window.
  • 4 of 13: It's over in the back right corner of the house, a ways to the right of the extravagant hanging basket.
  • 5 of 13: Try clicking on the window and the hanging basket to get an idea.
  • 6 of 13: It would be neat if you could jump to the basket and swing over to the window on it.
  • 7 of 13: Unfortunately, you can't -- at least not until you find a rope or something else that might help you swing across.
  • 8 of 13: But if you search both the upstairs and downstairs areas, you won't find anything resembling rope.
  • 9 of 13: So you'll need to improvise, as in every other adventure game ever created.
  • 10 of 13: Remember that in many stories, a person who's sneaking out of an upper floor of a house or prison without the benefit of a ladder will often use tied-together clothes or sheets to aid in the descent.
  • 11 of 13: After carefully going over everything and picking up what you can, you should have two usable items in inventory: a dirty shirt and a robe.
  • 12 of 13: Once you have them, combine them in inventory to form a rope. (Right-click on one of them, then right-click on the other.)
  • 13 of 13: Go upstairs and use the rope on the basket by right-clicking on the rope, then right-clicking on the basket. You're outta there!
