3 of 7: You can find a spring on the big weight in the wheel room.
4 of 7: Take that and give it to Gemotep.
5 of 7: If you send him into the guard's arms, you automatically end the first half. If you give him your map he gives you a spoon.
6 of 7: One option for you is to just sent him into the guard's arms. That will automatically end the first half.
