Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Hints

General Courtroom Advice...

  • The courtroom is the most pressurized area of gameplay. The life meter in the upper-right corner of the screen will appear whenever it is possible to make a decision or suggestion that will harm your case. If you see it there, just watch out. You will have a few chances so feel free to try out your hypotheses and ideas for the case, but don't go too nuts as you will end up getting your client declared Guilty. And in a lawyer simulator, that's a big fat Game Over! Remember to save the game before making any decisions you're not too sure of, so that if you mess up you can restart (L+R+Start+Select), reload, and try another piece of evidence, suggestion, or suspect.

The key to finding the CORRECT items to present is to point out contradictions. If someone says they didn't handle a gun or knife but their fingerprints are all over it, that's a contradiction -- find the statement where they say they didn't handle it, and present the proof that they are lying. This is the basis of a defense attorney's role. It won't always be direct contradictions; you may have to be a little more clever. If someone says they had no reason to shoot someone, there may not be direct proof that they DID have a motive, but you may need to prove the possibility that they may have by finding a relevant item, or finding a character they may have dealt with.
