Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Hints

General Perception Advice...

  • A new addition to the fourth title in the Ace Attorney series is Apollo's sensory perception. Early in the game's first case, he finds himself able to use a bracelet on his wrist to "perceive" small movements in suspects' bodies to detect their uncertainty when they tell lies on the witness stand. Apollo will remark that his bracelet is reacting to a certain character, and when this happens a small icon of the bracelet will be available and clickable. When clicked, the game will switch to Perception Mode.

The game's action will be slowed down, and the character will read their selected line of testimony much more clearly, allowing you to see specific movements when they say specific words in each sentence. You need to scroll the camera around the character's body and look for any signs, any telltale twitches or movements in their body that occur on specific words. You can replay the sentences as many times as you need to in order to focus and pick out each lie. For example, a character's fingers may twitch, or they may make a movement with their eyes. Wait until that movement occurs, then click the Perceive button, to rat them out and catch them in the act of lying.
