Beat up Winstan
1 of 2: Fighting Winstan is part of the "The True Culprits" quest, and should only be done if you want to side with Lord Renwick.
2 of 2: NOTE: After you finish this quest, Rauter, Elgan, and Jilvie will move up from South Stewark. You'll find Elgan at an open-air stall a ways west of the castle gate, and can do merchant business with him. Jilvie will be hanging around near the east end of the castle bridge, and Rauter will be at the tables that are just outside the tavern. You can talk to them and later report on the location of the person they're searching for, but doing so gets you no reward.
