Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura Hints
The sheriff wants me to repair the town's steam engine.
1 of 5: Yep, you'll get this quest if you'd destroyed it for Jongle Dunne, so you may as well help to fix it to gain some more XP.
2 of 5: The gear you need is located in the mine, in an unlocked container.
3 of 5: When you look at the gear, you'll find it's marked ".....groth." (The reason for that will become clear much later in the game -- don't worry about it for now.)
4 of 5: For now, just bring the gear back to the Sheriff for your reward.
5 of 5: Note that if you haven't done Jongle Dunne's second quest, and you do this first, he will refuse to talk to you, effectively botching the quest. Hence, you'll want to do his second quest before you do this.
