How can I destroy the Bangellian Scourge?
1 of 6: Go to the Bangellian Deeps, in the northern part of Arcanum (in the swamps).
2 of 6: Once there, enter the deeps. The sword isn't around the dead bodies, so move into the Deeps.
3 of 6: You'll have to fight your way through a bunch of slightly tough monsters, and you'll eventually make your way to a room with a bunch of Paladin Slaves and a Cursed Paladin.
4 of 6: If you manage to kill the Cursed Paladin in the first turn of combat (disintegrate), the other Paladins won't become hostile. Otherwise, they'll attack you. If you have good party members with you, don't attack the paladins yourself. Just let your companions do the work.
5 of 6: Once you beat them, the Bangellian Scourge is in the chest in the room.
6 of 6: Just take the sword, and use it on the furnace. You can also destroy any unwanted items permanently by using them here.
