Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura Hints

Evelyn Garringsburg wants me to find her painting.

  • 1 of 16: The Garringsburg residence can be found on the corner of Devonshire (2nd street you come to going north from the bridge) and Kensington.
  • 2 of 16: Evelyn will tell you about how her painting was stolen and will give you some clues to go on.
  • 3 of 16: She gives you a paper, which you should read, and will also tell you to check the Wellington Gentleman's Club.
  • 4 of 16: The Wellington Gentleman's Club is on the far western side of the city, just above the cemetery (off of Devonshire). If you're a woman, you have to go find Wendell Wellington in University Court to the north and either pay him, kill him, or steal, to get an invitation.
  • 5 of 16: The best way to find out about the criminal is to ask the doorman for a guest list.
  • 6 of 16: The only person there that night who wasn't a member was Rorry Limes.
  • 7 of 16: There's a place in the city where you can get information about people -- the hall of records.
  • 8 of 16: The hall of records is far to the north, in University Court. It's two buildings to the left of the Bates mansion. (You can't miss that one.)
  • 9 of 16: Ask about Rorry Limes, and you'll learn an address, 57 Mulligan Bone Alley.
  • 10 of 16: Another way to learn about it is by reading the note given to you by a dark elf in the Gentleman's Club.
  • 11 of 16: That's where the painting is, so head over there.
  • 12 of 16: The building is on the far east side of town, in the northeastern corner -- just check the signs on the buildings.
  • 13 of 16: Inside, you'll find an ogre guard.
  • 14 of 16: He's fairly high level if you just got into the city, but you can always pick pocket him for the key you need or try to pick the lock.
  • 15 of 16: Once you have a way, open the door to the ogre's left, and you'll find the painting in the chest.
  • 16 of 16: Bring it back to Evelyn for a nice reward.
