Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura Hints
Thom Grak wants me to talk to Matt de Ceasar.
1 of 20: Thom Grak can be found on the little island halfway up Kensington.
2 of 20: You have to have met de Ceasar already to start this quest -- he's in the Wellington Gentleman's Club, on the far west side of the city.
3 of 20: Once you've talked to him, tell Thom that you know where he is, and then go back to de Ceasar.
4 of 20: De Ceasar will be attacked and will kill his assailant. Once he's killed the half-ogre assassin, convince him that you weren't trying to lead the assassin to him, and he'll tell you to go talk to him outside.
5 of 20: So go talk to him. He'll ask you to retrieve the skulls of the Ren'ar Siamese Twins.
6 of 20: There are no real hints on where to get the skulls, so I'll just tell you.
7 of 20: They're located at 17 Quilton Bend, on the poor side of town. The building is near the docks, right where they make a turn to the south.
8 of 20: The door will be locked, and you can either pick it, attack it, or use explosives on it to break it down.
9 of 20: Inside, there's a half ogre and a wererat. Kill the wererat first, it's much tougher.
10 of 20: Once you've killed them, look around in the containers in the room, and you'll find the skulls.
11 of 20: Bring them back to de Ceasar, and he'll tell you to bring the skulls to Arthur Tyron, who was last seen in Black Root.
12 of 20: However, if you go to Black Root, all you'll find a note, with no clues as to where he's gone.
13 of 20: You won't find Tyron until later in the game, in Caladon.
14 of 20: He's in the first house in the little group of six houses in the northwestern part of the city.
15 of 20: When you talk to him, he'll tell you about the gnomish conspiracy and will give you the location of Half Ogre Island.
16 of 20: So either teleport there, or have a ship captain take you.
17 of 20: Once you're there, follow the path as far as you can, and you'll come to a building with lots of nasty stuff inside.
18 of 20: In the top right corner of the building, there's a safe, in which you'll find a journal, which you should read.
19 of 20: If you go back to Caladon, Tyron will be gone, replaced with a gnome who will tell you the full story.
20 of 20: You can try selling the journal to the reporter in the town, but it doesn't do anything, except get you a little gold.
