Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura Hints
What's my objective here?
of 11: The only point to the Black Mountain Mines it to find someone who can tell you more about the Black Mountain Clan.
of 11: The mines are essentially just a very large dungeon with monsters that are much more difficult that the ones you've faced so far.
of 11: Most of the monsters in here will either damage your weapon when you hit them or will damage your armor when they hit you.
of 11: It's a good idea to take your armor off when you run into a seething mass...they destroy armor rather quickly.
of 11: You won't find anything of great importance here until the bottom level of the mines (a throne-room like area).
of 11: In the back of the area, there are two doors, each opening into the same passage.
of 11: Follow that passage for a ways. There are tons of traps along the hallway, but nothing that's so damaging that any decent healer can't keep you alive.
of 11: At the end, you'll run into a dwarf, Gudmund Ore Bender, standing next to a pillar.
of 11: Talk to him for a confusing story, and then take a look at the pillar for some clarification.
of 11: You can talk to him again if you want a bit more explanation.
of 11: Once you have the needed information, leave the mines (a scroll of exiting is good, and all the thieves on the higher levels have them), and report back to Bates.
