Arcanum: Of Steamworks and Magick Obscura Hints

Winde wants me to find a missing hunter.

  • 1 of 11: Winde can be found just to the left of where you enter the city.
  • 2 of 11: Accept his quest, and he'll mark the Bedokaan village on your map, which is where the missing hunter is.
  • 3 of 11: Once you have time, go there, and you'll find the elf in a pit.
  • 4 of 11: If you don't want to bother with the quest, just steal a rope from one of the red guards nearby, and then talk to the elf. He'll give you his story, and if you kill the green guard next to the pit, you can talk to him again to throw him the rope and let him out.
  • 5 of 11: If you'd prefer not to wantonly slaughter the Bedokaan, however, you'll want to go talk to their leader.
  • 6 of 11: He's the biggest one of them, and he's located in the northern part of the village.
  • 7 of 11: He'll first be hostile towards you, but if you have a little Persuasion, you can convince him to tell you his problem.
  • 8 of 11: If you have a lot of Persuasion (3 ranks), you can convince him that not all people are evil, and he'll release the elf.
  • 9 of 11: Otherwise, you'll have to go kill the poachers -- which might be a good idea anyway, since they have some nice equipment.
  • 10 of 11: If you decide to kill the poachers, go to the world map and travel to their camp.
  • 11 of 11: Just attack them when you can, kill them, and head back to the village to have the chieftain release the elf.
