What's in the cave?

  • 1 of 9: The passageway, on the eastern cliff wall of this scene, will lead into what appears to be an old abandoned cave, infested by sewer rats, which should pose very little trouble.
  • 2 of 9: If you go down a small passageway, you'll meet the spirit of Charles Bregho, a thief who was apparently killed and cursed by a priest named Arbalah.
  • 3 of 9: He'll show you where Arbalah's house is and will ask you to kill him to try to break the curse.
  • 4 of 9: If you go to Arbalah's house, you'll get the whole story (he's telling the truth) and he will ask you to retrieve his holy symbol from the currently living companion of Charles Bregho named Simon Fahrkus. He'll point out the location of Simon's shack on your map.
  • 5 of 9: Of course, you can always kill Arbalah, but I don't really recommend it -- his reward is good.
  • 6 of 9: At Simon Fahrkus's shack, you can either pick pocket the idol from him, kill him for it, or yell at him, and he'll give it to you and run away.
  • 7 of 9: Killing him is the most rewarding way to go about it (it gets you a bunch of XP).
  • 8 of 9: Once you have the idol, bring it back to Arbalah, and he'll bless you. His blessing gives you a bonus to initial reaction for pretty much everyone. Very nice if you have particularly low beauty.
  • 9 of 9: If you really want, you can try to kill him now and go back to Charles Bregho for his reward -- it's evil, but if you're evil you may as well do it, if you can manage to kill him.
