Armed & Delirious Hints
How do I win this (seemingly difficult) contest?
1 of 9: This short contest {BPH} is almost certainly the most difficult task in the whole game. It is a sort of very short arcade game and may take considerable perseverance. If you get fed up, you can easily return to it any time almost to the end of the game -- all portals which you may have had some difficulty opening previously, remain open and you do not have to repeat ~any~ of those tasks.
You may win first time, or it may take you very many attempts -- but don't give up if you find it tedious -- you CAN succeed sooner or later! (I have succeeded on at least a dozen very different occasions, but have failed on several dozen more!)
Since reloading takes some time anyhow, it's worth SAVING just before you start the game.
2 of 9: It can best be won by using the four arrow keys on the keyboard rather than the mouse.
3 of 9: After a sort of introduction, the actual contest begins ~only~ after the announcer shouts "Here's Granny!" and when the lights around the stage just start blinking again. Granny has to avoid being "killed" by bumping into either the fork or the shopping cart. She has to move left, right, forwards (up), backwards (down), with her pursuers following each of her moves. The object is to lure the shopping cart into bumping into the wheel.
4 of 9: Once she has done that, she can then climb over the top of the now stationary shopping cart and over the wheel without hindrance (since the fork is also immobilized).
5 of 9: To do this, simply click on the lower part of the large white disk.
6 of 9: HINT! Luck probably plays a good part in winning and there is definitely a timing element involved. Games may be programmed differently and a randomizer seems to be incorporated. You can try the following sequence which "worked" for me a few times, but certainly failed on many occasions:
7 of 9: Left ... right ... up ... up ... right ... left ... down ... down ... left. Possibly a variation of this will do the trick, depending upon the apparently random jumps of the fork and the shopping cart. ~But beware~: this may not work for you at all, and/or you may find a much better method! Best of luck!
8 of 9: When you incapacitate the shopping cart, don't forget to take your prize. Was it "worth it"?
9 of 9: There is a rare situation here in that there is no standard exit-icon. To leave the contest area, simply click anywhere along the top of the screen and you are sucked back to the Supervisor's office.
