Armed & Delirious Hints
Inspecting this uniquely fantastic World
of 19: NOTE! ... You can save yourself a LOT of time (and hassle, and disk swapping) later on, if before you start here, you revisit Granny's Villa. ... although you can postpone this until later.
of 19: Open the clasps holding the trapdoor lid and Granny falls down the shaft. She finishes up in a sort of foyer outside an elevator {DUI1}.
of 19: Even in this confined space there are quite a few things to do ... intercoms, fans, mirrors, elevator switches, etc.
of 19: Do whatever you can. Many actions don't help you much, but some will.
of 19: Look at the larger panel (near mid screen).
of 19: Remove either of the two retaining screws and see what happens.
of 19: Try tickling the foot protruding from near bottom right.
of 19: Serves Granny right!
of 19: OK! Drag that darned foot towards the mirror on the left wall.
of 19: The foyer turns upside-down ... or more accurately it has rotated through a right angle and onto its side {DUI2}.
of 19: You may be able to figure out what to next ... if not, read the next hints.
of 19: Try everything you can in this "slewed" foyer. But unless and until you wish to exit, do ~not~ click on the RIGHT hand one of the pair of red knobs on the large panel.
of 19: There are four vertical buttons on this panel. From bottom to top they will transport the elevator to floors 1 to 4, and the corresponding vertical indicator will light up yellow.
of 19: There are (somewhat) different things on each floor.
of 19: If for example you press the bottom button, you'll get to floor 1. To explore there, click the LEFT hand one of the pair of red knobs on the large panel. You're in "corridor" 1 {DUT1}.
of 19: Likewise for the other three floors ... {DUT2}; {DUT3}; {DUT4}.
of 19: One floor contains a VERY large number of locations. If you want to know which one, play George's tape recorder diary (and ignore the spelling mistake of the number in the text!).
of 19: OK! If you ~really~ can't find it, the main corridor is on floor 4.
of 19: N.B. You can exit from ANY floor ~directly~ to the entry foyer by clicking on the RIGHT hand one of the pair of red knobs on the large panel.
