2 of 3: Although you can always return and get it later, it's advisable to acquire it as early as possible in the game.
3 of 3: You should listen to it STRAIGHT AWAY. Even though it doesn't give much in the way of clues ~here~ ... it DOES at many other locations in the game. It does (attempt to) set up the story underlying the game ... sort of!
