1 of 4: Are you sure you have finished *everything* in Fortrey's Office?
2 of 4: Solve all of the puzzles there and you'll get a cut-scene of Fortrey and Alec.
3 of 4: Go see poor Alec.
4 of 4: Afterwards, after another phone call from Fortrey, the door will be unlocked. (If the phone doesn't ring or the door remains locked, pick up and read Annie's diary from Alec's desk.)
