Clue #3
1 of 5: This clue reads "(...3, use the object you...) For the next clue, go exactly three levels below the place where you found clue #2 and use a shovel." Do you recall where clue #2 was found?
2 of 5: You found clue #2 in the troll mines on Level 3. The next clue is hidden on Level 6.
3 of 5: Return to the cave where you found clue #2. You'll have to remember its location on the map, as there is no way to make notes on your automap. Now travel to Level 6 and try to find a place directly beneath clue #2's location.
4 of 5: Enter Level 6 via the stairs from Level 5 and take your first right. Follow the left-hand wall into the spider's lair, and walk as far north and west as you can in this cave. You'll reach a small room with a corpse on the ground and a flower. Use the shovel here (with the "use" key, not by double-clicking), then search the area again.
5 of 5: In the corner of this small cave you'll find the note containing clue #4.
