Enchanting Items
Enchanting weapons and armor can add special attributes to otherwise-mundane items. To do this, three things are required: a suitable object to take the enchantment, a reagent, and access to the spell "Enchant Object".
The object which you wish to enchant must be an item which can be equipped: either a weapon or a piece of armor (or in one case, a ring). Each item can hold only one enchantment. Note that the description of the item will not change to reflect its new powers, but it will turn a different color depending on what sort of enchantment was used.
There are several reagents which can be used in the enchantment: - Bone Powder (made by crushing a bone with a mortar and pestle) adds a bonus of +1 Strength (item glows orange). - Dragon Bone Powder adds a bonus of +2 to Strength (item glows red). - Garlic adds a bonus of +2 dexterity (weapons only, item glows green). - A Rock of Amikar causes the item to become unbreakable (item glows red and white). - A Golem Heart gives the weapon the ability to paralyze an opponent (weapons only, item glows red and gray). - A poison potion gives the weapon the ability to poison an opponent (weapons only, item turns green). - An invisibility potion used on a silver ring will produce a Ring of Invisibility just like Bilbo's.
To complete the enchantment, use the reagent on the object to be enchanted, then cast Enchant Object on it.
