How do I defeat Iserbius/Akbaa?
1 of 9: Remember all of that running around you've been doing recently? There was a reason for it...
2 of 9: To interrupt the summoning of Akbaa by Iserbius, you need to strike him with the Meteor Sword. This will initiate the final battle.
3 of 9: After the fight has begun, the meteor sword is no longer required (although it is a powerful weapon). Naturally, this is a pretty tough fight. Not only does Akbaa have some powerful spells up his sleeves, he also summons demons which you will have to deal with. A few tips for getting through this battle follow.
4 of 9: The difficulty in this fight lies in the magic which Akbaa uses. Protect yourself against his spells by equipping magic-resistant items such as the Shield of Poxsellis or a Ring of Casting.
5 of 9: One of the spells Akbaa likes to throw at you is Life Drain. You can spot this spell when you see red rings appear around him. Life Drain damages your character, but more importantly, it replenishes Akbaa's own hit points. Avoid getting close to him when he uses this spell.
6 of 9: Akbaa also has a spell which draws you helplessly toward him. If you hide behind the pillars, you might be able to avoid this spell. Otherwise, try jumping away from him -- you have a better chance of escaping this way than by running. Casting the Speed spell will also help you to escape from this spell.
7 of 9: Watch out for the demons -- they can do quite a bit of damage while you are focusing on Akbaa. You'll notice Akbaa generally uses his "tractor beam" spell while the demons are around, so kill them quickly.
8 of 9: Eventually, if you survive for long enough, Akbaa will run out of mana. You can hasten this process with the Mana Drain spell. Alternatively, use the Negate Magic spell to prevent him from casting.
9 of 9: If you are fighting with a melee weapon, your best strategy is to pay attention to the spells Akbaa uses. When he casts Life Drain or his tractor beam spell, run for your life. Once these spells wear off, jump back in and start hacking at him.
