How do I cross the lava pits?
1 of 4: If you have a reasonable supply of hit points, you can probably cross these pits without taking too much damage. Alternatively, use the Levitate spell to reach the other side.
2 of 4: You'll notice that when you stand on the far side of the pit, a bridge will extend from the wall, concealing the lava. When you step onto the bridge, however, it will slide back into the wall, plunging you into the lava once more.
3 of 4: Place an item on the floor on the far side of the pit to extend the bridge again. Now you can cross safely.
4 of 4: Should you be unable to cast the Levitate spell, you can toss an item from the near side of the pit so that it lands on the far side, causing the bridge to extend. This will enable you to cross the pits without taking damage.
