How can I spear the animal shadows?
1 of 6: If you try during the first part of this chapter, before you've been to the springtime outdoor area, nothing will work. First, solve the puzzle in the cave with the wolf shadows and what follows.
2 of 6: A spear is conveniently sitting on the floor for your use.
3 of 6: Aim and throw it at all of the animals. Each time you wish to throw, you'll need to select the spear from inventory.
4 of 6: It helps to face a flat, bare wall without columns or other obstructions. Aim and click a little ahead of the animal since there is a slight reaction time between the time you click and the time the spear strikes.
5 of 6: Some animals seem faster than others, so depending on your reaction time and possibly your computer's speed, you may have trouble hitting the last one or two. If you try to shoot while standing still, you don't have a lot of time from when you first see the animal on your left to when it crosses the cursor in the center of the screen. If you need extra time, it may help to turn a little bit to the right after you see the animal, to get a little bigger lead. Of course, you'll need to turn faster than the animal moves, or else it will just catch up with you. If you do need to use this trick, it may take you a little while to figure out the proper speed. You can either stand still or turn -- just whichever you find easier for you.
