And Then There Were None Hints

I can't see!

  • 1 of 12: What do you normally do when you want to see in the dark?
  • 2 of 12: Flip on the lights, naturally. But Narracott doesn't want to wake people up. You need a flashlight. And batteries.
  • 3 of 12: There are a couple of places you can go in the dark, did you notice? The things you need are in those two rooms.
  • 4 of 12: The flashlight is in the dining room.
  • 5 of 12: Look in the top drawer of the cupboard to the left of the door that leads to the kitchen.
  • 6 of 12: Batteries are harder to find. They're not in any logical place, I'll tell you that; they've been deliberately hidden. You'll find a clue to where in the library.
  • 7 of 12: Go through all the drawers in the library desk to find an odd card in one of the open drawers.
  • 8 of 12: It says, "Powerful Friends: Want to shed light on the matter? Flowery speeches may win you a few friends." That's got to be talking about flashlight batteries.
  • 9 of 12: Try spelling "flowery" a different way.
  • 10 of 12: Did you notice the huge bag of flour in the pantry?
  • 11 of 12: In the pantry (in the kitchen), take the scoop out of the flour bag, then use the scoop on the flour twice to find the batteries. Combine flashlight and batteries to get a working flashlight.
  • 12 of 12: Once you have the flashlight with batteries inserted, you'll use it automatically when you need it. You don't need to pull it out and click it on stuff to see.
