Aura: Fate of the Ages Hints

What am I supposed to do with the large blue crystal?

  • 1 of 16: If you haven't done so already, walk around the crystal, looking both up and down as you go.
  • 2 of 16: Did you notice the rock that the crystal is standing on?
  • 3 of 16: The color of the rock at the base changes color, as you walk around the crystal.
  • 4 of 16: The rock changes from green to yellow to red to blue (starting on the right side, and walking counter-clockwise).
  • 5 of 16: Where else around here have you seen these four colors?
  • 6 of 16: Did you notice the four circles on each of the four sides of the crystal?  What happens when you click on the circles?
  • 7 of 16: Have you heard this sound somewhere before?
  • 8 of 16: Compare the sound to what you hear when you click on the drum array.
  • 9 of 16: The most common sound from the drum array is the same sound you hear when you click on any of the circles around the crystal.
  • 10 of 16: Let's see -- 4 columns with 4 colored bases; and 4 groups of drums sounds -- identified by the same 4 colors (marked around the top of each drum)...
  • 11 of 16: Play the drum array, making note of which drums produce the same sound you hear when clicking the circles on the crystal.  Note both the color of the drum and the order (e.g., if only the second drum from the top of the red column makes that sound, mark that down.)
  • 12 of 16: Take that information back to the crystal and enter it in the side of the crystal with the matching color (remember, the crystal won't change color, but the rock it is standing on will).
  • 13 of 16: For the drums in the blue column, the bottom two drums produce the same sound as the circles on the crystal.  To enter this information into the crystal, you would walk around the crystal until you see the blue rock, then click on the bottom two circles.  When done, only the bottom two circles should have little indentations.  If either of the top two have indentations, then you'll need to click on them again, to remove the indentations.  Do this for all four colors.  Caution: The following hints provide the solution to the remaining three sides of the puzzle.
  • 14 of 16: On the column with the green base -- click the top two circles, so that they are the only ones indented.
  • 15 of 16: On the column with the yellow base -- click only the top circle, so that it is the only one indented.
  • 16 of 16: On the column with the red base -- click only the second circle from the top, so that it is the only one indented.
