Aura: Fate of the Ages Hints
How do I place the tuning forks around the gold plate?
of 11: First of all, check the color of the handle of your tuning forks to be sure that the color of the handle matches the color around the plate.
of 11: You should go back to the mirror and take a close look at the pattern at the bottom of the mirror. There is something unusual about this mirror.
of 11: The placement pattern from the pipes under the pink mirror (from left to right) is: 4, 3, 2, 1 (longest pipe, third longest, second longest, shortest)...
of 11: ...but the triangle on this mirror is reversed.
of 11: Because the triangle on the mirror is reversed, the order of the pipes should be read backwards -- from right to left -- to maintain the same sort of placement pattern around the gold plate that you used for the other plates.
of 11: Therefore, the pattern you should enter on the plate should be 1, 2, 3, 4 (shortest pipe, second shortest, third shortest, longest).
of 11: The tuning-fork tones should be entered as follows: 1, 2, 3, 4 (highest tone, second highest, third highest, lowest).
of 11: Making note of the placement of the narrow and wide pattern around the circumference of the plate, we can see that the two tuning forks that are already placed are the first tone (top of plate) and the third tone (bottom of plate).
of 11: The two tuning forks remaining to be placed are the second (second highest) and fourth (lowest) tones. By hitting the two tuning forks on the T-shaped bar in the middle of the table, it is possible to tell which of the two gold forks has a higher tone.
of 11: Referring back to our order of placement, we know that the second tuning fork (the one with the higher tone) should be placed on the right side of the plate (this is the fork that you originally picked up from the table immediately in front of the gold plate).
of 11: The fourth-tone tuning fork (the one with the lower tone) should be placed at the left side of the plate (this is the fork that you originally picked up from the separate area, further in front of the gold plate).
