Aura: Fate of the Ages Hints

Movement and Action

  • Movement in "Aura" is through a fairly simple point-and-click interface.  In normal scenes, the cursor will remain in the middle of the screen, and you can pan (rotate) the view by moving your mouse.  The scene will remain positioned around the cursor.  As the cursor moves over spots that allow various actions or movement, the cursor icon will change.  When the small oval in the center turns bright green, that indicates either an object that can be picked up, or one that may be interacted with.

Clicking the mouse at that point may (or may not) produce a result.  Not all "action spots" are operative all the time.  If nothing happens when clicking on such a spot, it may be that you do not have the correct object(s) to use at that spot, at this point in the game.  It could also indicate that some other action must be done first, before this "action spot" can be used.

If the cursor changes to an arrow surrounding the green oval, that indicates a possible direction of movement.  Clicking the mouse when that icon is showing will move you to the next location in the current scene.  By combining panning and clicking on the arrow, you can navigate throughout the entire game.
