Aura: Fate of the Ages Hints

Inside: What do I do with the dome-topped machine in the side room?

  • 1 of 16: If you don't see a large dome-topped machine, then you'll need to solve another puzzle first.
  • 2 of 16: In particular, make sure to figure out what else you can do in this room.
  • 3 of 16: Clicking on the dome will cause the top of the dome to open, revealing an interactive area within.
  • 4 of 16: You won't be able to do much with this machine until you have certain items in your inventory.
  • 5 of 16: You'll need to place one of the objects you've recently acquired in the top of the dome.
  • 6 of 16: Perhaps the machine requires more power.
  • 7 of 16: With the dome open, place the generator inside.
  • 8 of 16: The front of the machine has three round indentations, as well as three slots just behind the indentations.
  • 9 of 16: The gems and stencils fit in these places.  You'll need to look around for clues to determine what order to place each gem and stencil.
  • 10 of 16: Your journal should contain some helpful information.
  • 11 of 16: If you've looked closely at the stencils in your inventory (right-click to open the inventory, then hold the mouse cursor over the inventory item), you'll see that each stencil has a unique symbol.
  • 12 of 16: The fifth page in the journal has a diagram with a gem and a stencil.  That is the specific page you'll need to study for a clue to the dome-topped machine.
  • 13 of 16: The diagram in the journal shows a structure with a pointed roof.  Look for similar structures outside.
  • 14 of 16: Carefully explore each structure, taking the time to search for possible clues.
  • 15 of 16: If you've done everything you should have at the structures, you should now have a pairing for each gem and stencil, plus you should know what order each pair should be placed.
  • 16 of 16: Starting with the pair that should go on the far left, place the gem on the front of the machine, and the stencil in the slot behind it.  Continue with the other two gems.  Once they are placed, you'll need to activate the machine by clicking on the recessed rods.  If done correctly, you should see a cut-scene of the button on the door turning green.
