Aura: Fate of the Ages Hints
How do I activate the elevator?
of 11: You'll have to restore power to the elevator.
of 11: Follow the lines that lead to the elevator, and note that they seem to be connected to something above.
of 11: Climb up the ladder to see a large, dome-shaped mechanism. Explore around this area. Find out what might be active, with regard to the large mechanism.
of 11: There appear to be several things with which you can interact. To the left of the dome-shaped object is a lever. To the right is a wheel. It is also possible to go into a close-up of the top of the dome.
of 11: As you play with the various controls, you will occasionally see short blasts of steam being released. It should be possible to use this steam as a source of power to drive the elevator.
of 11: There is one more control around the dome-shaped mechanism that is easy to miss. It is on the floor directly in front of the dome-shaped mechanism.
of 11: If you use the lever in front of the dome-shaped mechanism, it will activate the controls on top of the dome.
of 11: The last two controls (on the left and right of the dome-shaped mechanism) control the flow of steam into and out of the mechanism.
of 11: The wheel on the right opens a valve, allowing steam into the mechanism.
of 11: The handle on the left regulates the steam -- moving it from one pipe to another.
of 11: So the correct procedure then, is to move the handle in front of the mechanism (to activate the controls on top of the dome); click on the small wheels at the top of the dome (to close the steam release valves); use the wheel on the right (to turn on the steam); and lastly, use the lever on the left (to divert the steam to the elevator).
