How can I get rid of all the male nurses in the corridors?
1 of 18: You'll need to set up a major distraction for them.
2 of 18: Have you entered the garden in the upstairs area yet? It's past the door that exits the exam room, and on the left.
3 of 18: As you enter, one of the patients in the garden will talk to you about Bauer.
4 of 18: Listen to what Bauer has to say. Doesn't that give you an idea for a major distraction?
5 of 18: Bauer thinks that if all the birds were released from their big cage, the male nurses would be kept so busy chasing them, that he could get away. Maybe that'll work for you, too!
6 of 18: To start on the long road to getting the cage key, you'll need to talk to some of the inmates who are in cells past locked corridor doors.
7 of 18: Go back to the cell where you were being held, and open the corridor door that's right next to it.
8 of 18: Talk to the woman in the cell marked "Gerda" a couple of times to get her to mention some Heidi person who's apparently left her. To learn more about Heidi, you'll need to talk to another inmate.
9 of 18: Go back to the central cell area and down to the other end of the main corridor, where you'll find another door to unlock with your key ring.
10 of 18: Move carefully into the cell area beyond, since one of the pesky male nurses you're trying to get rid of is hanging around at the other end.
11 of 18: From the corridor door, move forward until you reach a wall, then turn left and talk to the guy in the cell labeled "Becker."
12 of 18: Now that you know Heidi is a doll, go around looking for it.
13 of 18: You'll find it on the back table in the laboratory. Click on it to take it.
14 of 18: Return to Gerda's cell and give the doll to her.
15 of 18: She'll reward you by telling you that the bird cage key is in an upstairs room where some lady is staying. She'll also give you the key to that room.
16 of 18: Checking the doors near the garden, you'll find that the key fits Fraulein Muller's door.
17 of 18: Select the key in inventory, then go click on the bird cage's lock to open it and free the birds.
18 of 18: That'll get all of the male nurses out of your way, both upstairs and in the cell areas, and you can get serious about Investigating the Institute.
