How can I leave this area if I can't go back up the stairs?
1 of 14: NOTE: This situation happens after you visit the crazy hermit in the secret meeting place while Investigating the Institute.
2 of 14: You'll need to find a secret exit nearby.
3 of 14: There's one inside Dr. Gygax's office.
4 of 14: There's a hidden lift behind the large, odd-looking doors in the wall past the doctor's desk.
5 of 14: You'll need to figure out how to call the lift to your level.
6 of 14: Notice the two interactive pull-ropes to the left of the lift doors.
7 of 14: One is longer than the other one. Where have you seen reference to a lift and long and short ropes before?
8 of 14: There was something about it in the note you found in the kitchen earlier.
9 of 14: Check your portfolio's documents page for a "Note for Hildegarde."
10 of 14: Read it to get the pull-rope code to summon the lift to the doctor's office.
